hey guys, i just recently got an internship on nantucket island this summer and will be damned if i dont bring the jeep over to hit the sand for the first time. I checked their regulations and they require (the obvious) spare tire, jack, tire pressure gauge for airing down, and shovel. Anything else I may need?

I would suggest at least a tow rope if not a winch, solid platform to place the jack on....NY used to require a toilet seat attached to a bucket so you did not go in the sand! also fire extinguisher.

Anything else I may need?
Oh man, Jeep related or in general?

Have you ever been there before? There is just about nothing there in terms of services or stores, same with Martha's Vineyard. So I would be bringing anything that you would need if you were going off the grid. Think overlanding.

How long are you going to be there? Whole summer? Make sure you bring your camera!

yep the whole summer, my camera will be by my side! and i have been going to the cape my entire life but never to ACK.i figured that would be the case in terms of access to any kind of service..thanks!
