Hood Latch Lock

Can anybody recommend a quality hood latch that locks - with a key.

I can find a ton for the Jk but none for the Tj.

Can a JK one be modified to fir the TJ?

The second link for the expensive ones says for a TJ, but the picture has them mounted on a JK. May work. I’d read reviews to see what people are saying. Doesn’t look like a reason to spend $147 vs $59.

Search around the interweb! I found a clip a few years ago that showed how to drill a hole in the latch and install a padlock to prevent opening the hood. I already owned the drill and the padlock, so it was free; took about 15 minutes. Either carry the padlock key with the Jeep key or stash it somewhere inside the Jeep.

I would have done that but have some screen for the grill that I want to keep.
