I'm not gonna lie, I kinda like the idea of slapping a solar panel on the hood for keeping the battery charged up and for keeping my solar generator charged. 85W of solar will realistically be 50w, so not a ton of power but I do like the idea of having a bit of charge on the battery whenever I'm out in the desert or something 'just in case'. Hell, if my alternator stops charging that might even be enough to get me home. It would run t the fridge when i'm parked too. It looks like you put down a vinyl wrap panel first, then put the panel on that so its not adhered to your paint directly. I guess that means when it peels up then you need to replace it. But if I can get 5 years out of it, i'd be happy.
