Noticed last night that one of the lights on my fender is out/just super dim. Anyone know the steps to replacing it at all? (First photo is the working one, second photo is the dim one)
I think it was 111 at 9:30am hereIf you're at work I can come by and look at it for you dude. It's 111 out but.....
Yeah, I'll have to check the connections and make sure everything is seated properly. Something could have just been moved out of place.A dim light vs. a dead light is usually caused more by a weak/defective ground than a burned out bulb. That can also be from the bulb not having been properly seated in its socket though that one doesn't look like there's a bulb socket.
Look first at its ground connection. Powder coating and paint can both wreak havoc with electrical connections.Yeah, I'll have to check the connections and make sure everything is seated properly. Something could have just been moved out of place.
Aha I think you may have me confused with the PO. I bought this Jeep off him about 7 or so weeks ago. I remember you commenting on a post I made back in August and I was so confused because you were saying how I was "pissed that I hadn't done my research and got a 4.0 instead of the SE." I mean, I do live in Ventura County but sadly I'm about 45 min away from Ventura itself. If you're at work I can come by and look at it for you dude. It's 111 out but.....
I did do some painting recently so it is very possible some overspray may or may not have gotten onto any electrical connections. I'll have to check thoroughly later in the evening. So hot out here.Look first at its ground connection. Powder coating and paint can both wreak havoc with electrical connections.
Ah. Yeah must have. The previous owner worked near me. Didn't really know him outside of casual conversation. But..always willing to help a local Jeep owner so that's why I offered.Aha I think you may have me confused with the PO. I bought this Jeep off him about 7 or so weeks ago.
