Evil Knievel stuff?I know rednecks that take their 2wd Ford trucks where some Jeep people won't go. No common sense goes a long way. That's how I made it to a high level racing motocross. Skill and no sense. Thus, the Lost Koz license plate. Dumbass was already taken.
First of all this is why a locker in the front makes all the difference in the world- Front wheel drive is amazingly effective- This is also a good example of why the stock TJ is unbelievably capable- In stock form they have miles more clearance than this.
But the real answer to the thread topic is youth and alcohol. .. And amazing line choices.
But I mean, really? Part of my question on the title was literal. How is it possible that she managed to get that far in a fwd sedan on this type of terrain? Seriously, setting the damage that the car's body has encountered aside, how did traction, clearance or any other issue stopped the car much before reaching there?
We try to optimise a TJ and talk about every tiny detail in order to have the best possible rig for the terrain we need to conquer and then this comes along...

Our messages crossed, since we were typing at the same time and part of yours explains what I was asking. I still cannot believe it through. The only thing that I did think of to include is " amazing line choices". Well, having been wasted I guess it was pure luck?
Well, "balls and gravity" can partially explains it as well, I guess. And a lock of luck probably?
Exactly- We had a guy get on here a while back that had done all sorts of stuff to his- and got outwheeled by a stock rig.
You have to know the rules before you break them - people like @mrblaine ,@Jerry Bransford ,@toximus and some other guys know how to modify these and gain advantages- and when not to.
It is a pretty specialized field of knowledge.
I would be interested to see that happening since in my mind the more off-road oriented modified a rig is, the less experience the driver needs to have to conquer the same time of terrain as a less modified or stock one.
You mean the "rules" of how it works in stock form to be able to make it batter by modifying it? As in, not all modifications make a Jeep better off road even if they are supposed to do that?
Correct- and that saying is true in life in many areas- Once you understand the principles and concepts behind things you then do things with knowledge of what you are altering,etc.
The top guys on here will also tell you to focus on learning to drive it then modify it based on you needs/terrain-
Many of us just put a lift kit on then try to sort it out so we can get it to drive right again- sorry, but that is often the case.
My honest guess on her is she was high on something and anxious to get to her source or back home where she lived to get high on what she had just bought. She had to be high.
Every mod I've ever made on my rig was to keep me from having to learn to drive it.
