How many miles are too many when buying 2.4L TJ?

I've got 2.4, 165K with a 5 sp and have no problems. Fits what I do with it and very happy.

Could I ask, how many miles did it have when you got it?

I would not buy due to the anemic engine. Go for the 4.0L and you will be better off than the 2.4L.

If I can find a rust free 4.0L for $6-8K, I'll join the 4.0L side of the family.
