How much A/C refrigerant oil is needed on a 97 TJ 4.0?

Replaced compressor,condenser, all hoses,Accumulator/drier and flushed evap core . Compressor came with 3oz in it. I looked at a chart and it said 8oz total . Sounds like a lot.

I don't have the specs in front of me but 8 oz sounds about right.

8 oz is correct and the oil has to be split up between the compressor, accumulator and the condenser.
