How much weight will hardtop hold?

Looking to get a rooftop tent. Does anyone know how much static and dynamic weight a 2023 tj hardtop will hold?

I’ve heard you don’t want to go above 200 lbs. I know several who have done it successfully with 100–150 lbs. I wouldn’t go over that.

i miss-typed, I have a 2003 tj. Most seem to be around 172lbs I’m looking at. I’ll have to do some more research. Thanks, Chris!

Yeah that sounds about right. I just err on the side of caution.

Make spacers and transfer the load to the roll cage.
