Have always liked the look of an analog clinometer, but don’t know how useful it truly is. Curious to know who uses a clinometer, and thoughts of models/brands.

Is it useful? I would think it would be more useful to just pay attention to the spotter.

The problem you have the know is it 38 deg or 39 deg which is too much and end up like this. I guess if your watching your meter when you go over, you will then know for the next time :ROFLMAO:

It’s all I used to stare at in the log office when we were in rough seas on the ship. In a Jeep, pretty much worthless.

Mounting a smart phone with the level function would do the same thing, at least for the side to side inclination which would be the most critical.

I gets it. Factory installed! Never looked at it!

Like most, pics don’t do it justice. It was pegged out I’m sure.

I had one in a K-5 Blazer when I was a kid, I thought it would be cool!
However in reality it never stopped moving around and eventually
shook its self apart on a real rough road, all the weights and dials fell out
on the floor. The best thing that ever happened to it.
