How would I go about fixing this body mount rust?

Wanted to see if this kind of rust is something I could fix myself or if a shop should do it.

That needs to be cut out and replaced. If you can weld, or if you have a buddy that can weld, then you can buy the replacement mounts and have your buddy cut out the rot and weld in the replacement items.

Otherwise you will need to have a shop to the cutting/welding for you.

If you can weld(pull a mig trigger and place a bunch of tacks) it’s fairly easy.

You can do the whole torque box which is time consuming or do an ugly but functional patch no one will ever see. Bend some 16ga or thicker and weld a nut for the body mount to attach to.

Your tub won’t slide off the frame if you ignore it though.

If you plan on tough trails and you are replacing frame body mounts consider these. They are stronger and allow you to get rid of the body spacers.
