I have a dog, I leave her home

I have an older friend who is one hard-core dude and I think he’s going to end up killing somebody over a “comfort pet”. He hates it. He also hates Neil Young and Richard Nixon.

I see trades people doing this- dog in the cab of the van or whatever.

What do I think about it?

I think it’s absolutely ridiculous.

I think it’s unprofessional.

I think it’s a distraction.

Unless that dog knows how to do plumbing or electrical he needs to be home licking his ......, well you know.

I understand if you’re a farmer- Or it’s a Saturday and you’re going to the feed store and old Bo rides- But otherwise no.

You can run into big trouble if the customer has a dog and they don’t get along or somebody else has a dog.

Or your animal just randomly decides to jump on somebody’s four-year-old child.

In restaurants and businesses unless it’s a seeing eye dog there’s absolutely no reason for it.

There was this blind guy went into a place down here and he grabbed the dog and started swinging the poor dog around by the leash.

I said Mr. what in the world are you doing!!!

He said “oh, I’m just looking around.”

We had metal dashes, sat on the hump and played with yard darts.

Yup, I'm the youngest of 3 so spent a lot of quality time on the hump trying to fight for a place to put my feet.

Picked up my Ram from the service dept today, was chatting with the rep while they were trying to find my truck. He brought up that when we were kids, being grounded meant you were stuck in your room or house, and that was torture. Today you could punish them by locking them out of the house after breakfast with their bike and no electronics, tell them to come back for dinner.

Do you guys remember getting locked out of the house? Moms would do that so they could clean the house. Parents could do whatever and we knew the best thing to do was keep our mouth shut. And we did and we liked it 🤣.

I heard about a kid recently who’s phone was taken away and they said he completely flipped out.

Speaking of dogs we had a lady go to the psychologist here in town - her husband was eating dog food.

He told her not to worry about it it was mostly grains and he would get tired of the flavor and eventually quit.

About a month later they ran into each other and he asked about the husband and she told him he had passed away.

He was shocked and asked her if the dog food had killed her husband. She said “no, he was out in the road licking himself and got hit by a car”
