Inline 4 cylinder oil filter adapter leak

I have a 1997 wrangler 2.5 and is leaking oil from the filter adapter what will cause this it doesn’t have a gasket it just screws in the side of the engine it has 127,000 miles in it

Yes it has a gasket.
