Interior wiring questions

[Beachhead]

Got a few questions on my new tj.
1. On my hard top there is what looks like a plastic cover on the interior top rear with some wires that go to it? Was there supposed to be a light here?

2. I have a wiring harness that goes to the back of my jeep that appears to go no where, yet there is a plug for it.

3. I have a wire wrapped around my passenger side tail light which also appears to go nowhere. Was this for the 3rd stop light above the factory spare tire carrier?

1. Yes there is supposed to be a light there. It would come on at the same time as the dome light (when you open the door)

2. That is the wiring harness for your hardtop. Window wiper, defroster, and there should be a tube for your washer fluid.

I don't know about 3. That would be for someone else to chime in.
