Are these type of steering arms just as strong if not stronger/better than the OEM style steering components? For the TJ. ? I just notice a lot of jeeps with these type of steering .

That's typically called Crossover steering. The TJ steering is called Haltenberger steering. Jeep's engineers switched from Haltenberger to Crossover from the TJ to the JK. Most here that are on the stock axles and 35" tires or smaller just go with the RockJock Currectlync, which is a stronger version of the stock set up. It's a well-respected upgrade. If you switch to Crossover, be aware that just because it's Crossover, it's not automatically better. There are some poor options on the market.

That sort of steering has no place on a factory width TJ axle.
The reason you notice a lot of those on TJs is quite simple; there's a lot of idiots out there who buy into the marketing hype and love to create new problems for themselves.
Again, they have their application but it isn't on a factory width TJ axle. It's on a 1-ton axle setup or similar.

Those same jeeps suffer from bump steer because the mismatch in lengths between the drag link and track bar causes unwanted steering input every time the suspension moves.
