I am having some issues with my rear trac bar. Axle is sitting about 2” toward the driver side. I have tried putting the frame on jack stands and the rear axle without the tires on another set of stands. I used a ratchet strap with the track bar removed And tried to center it but it wouldn’t move. I actually broke the strap and it was a new one rated at 1500#. Also it is an adjustable trac bar. I will probably be thrown some shade for saying this but I went from a zone 4” lift (that was on it when I bought it) to a Rusty’s 5.5 with a 1” MML & BL. Am I missing anything that would keep it from moving? Also forgot that I tried that with the coils removed.

Detach the track bar from the axle side, then center the axle under the vehicle, then bolt the track bar back up to the axle side, after adjusting it to fit.

Do all of this while the vehicle is on the ground (not on jack stands).

Is this what you’re doing?

Or you may (if you have adjustable control arms) have to adjust them. The can be resisting the axle from being centered. If they were set up wrong when installed. Try and see if you can pull the axle the other direction a bit. If you can then the coontrol arms are in a bind situation when going towards center. It is most likley the uppers that cause this. You might have to get the axle centered and then reset the control arms to the new axle position. Unbolting just 1 of the uppers should allow the axle to move either direction. Again, this is only if you have adjustable control arms.
