So, that look on Rickman's face is not acting.
They wanted it to look as real as possible, so they strung him up about 20 feet up, over a crash pad. Rickman was very afraid of heights, but agreed to do exactly one take for this shot. The stunt coordinator told him they would count to three and let go of the cable. He was to look right at the camera and flail around as he fell.
The director really wanted the shot to work, and knew they would never get Rickman up there again if it didn't. So he told the guy who was going to actually push the button to do it on one instead of three. Worked out pretty well, lol.

The fbi swiftly put him in a protection program... yet sgt. Powell insisted on serving.
He took up a new post and identity in chicago as Sgt. Carl Winslow. Later to become chief of police!
What a hero.
It was later discovered that Al wasn't a willing volunteer.... the FBI used their typical collusion techniques to get him to enlist....
