Jeep bucking and jerking on acceleration

Ok so I thought it was fixed with replacing the coil and distributor but it’s started to do it again…. We are going to change the upstream O2 sensor, map and tps sensors and fuel pump (waiting on fuel pump as I can’t easily change it where we live cause they don’t allow it so I’m hoping it’s sensors before I have to do the pump)
Has anyone solved this issue without changing a fuel pump?

It does run a little better with a new coil and distributor but here is what it’s doing:
1st to 2nd gear a little jerk
Between 3-4th gear it will drive ok but it’s misfiring - the rpm’s will surge periodically
And it jerks a little

Any other suggestions welcome
Thank you

I had similar issues with my 04 and did as you with new coil rail and plugs. Helped the misfire for a few days but then got worse with the jerking and bucking. I replaced the TPS (Mopar) and it has been fine for a couple months now.

Thank you, I’ll try that and update

i actually forgot to update this
the problem was the upstream 02 sensor :)

Mine did this to the point it rattled off piston skirts and cracked a vibration dampener. I ended up rebuilding my power build and went to a wideband 02 sensor. So i guess that was probably is then, and didn't know it.

It may have been just the sensor
We actually went to change the sensor but couldn’t get the bolts off so sprayed it with PB Blaster and left it overnight
Still couldn’t get it off so put the old one back together and knock on wood it hasn’t done it since
The new sensor is in the glove compartment but so far PB Blaster on the 02 upstream sensor did the trick

I fixed my bucking on acceleration and random dies!!!! After countless sensor replacements and tracking wires my issue was my cam sensor even clipped all the way actually wasn’t plugged all the way in by roughly 3/8s to 1/4 inch. Over 1000 miles so far and not a single issue. ( I had cam code throw instantly even with new ones) also was told my pcm was bad but I’m no genius but I’m pretty sure my jeep wouldn’t start if that was the case. Also never had a hard start! She always fires right up warm cold sat all winter whatever never hard to start! I hope I help someone out

I have a 04 liberty. Except for the bucking thing when I accelerate, it runs great. So thanks to everyones suggestions on here. I am going to try to clean my cam sensor first. I will post what the outcome is.

To fix the harsh 1/2 shift adjust your tv/kick down cable on the top of the motor axl98 I also live in Florida and visit Corbett a lot it’s my happy place

And thank you all my Jeep wj was doing the exact same thing axl98 was doing I deleted my o2 sensor then discovered the kick down cable truck this happens because it stretches and if this doesn’t work you either did it wrong or you have to adjust the first trans band to spec then turn it back 2 1/2 turns and then apply the lock but again it’s on the outside of the trans half your your journey helped me so my half of the journey can help you now I have a perfect ride

Another thing I just put in 12 port injectors and reset my computer I did this 2 days ago my old injectors were single port the first thing I have noticed is it is more responsive it runs better and it also accelerates a bit quicker I’m not sure about mpg but I am going on a 600 mile trip and will let everyone know what my average mpg is normally I was inbetween 10 and 11 mpg b4 all the fixing
