I have had my jeep tires replaced and aligned. When I am going 30 + mph, and hit a bump in the road sometimes my jeep goes into a death wobble that is very violent. I have to stop for it to quit shaking. Can anyone give me a possible fix for this.

Do a dry steer test first.
A dry steering test is used to diagnose issues like shimmy, wobble, or improper tracking in the front suspension and steering system. It allows you to detect loose joints, worn bushings, or misaligned components without driving the vehicle, making it a safe and effective diagnostic tool.

Step-by-Step Procedure

  1. Park Safely: Ensure the Jeep is on a flat surface with the tires on the ground. This provides resistance needed to detect play in the steering components
  2. Engine Off: Keep the engine off (key in RUN position if needed for steering lock) to prevent power steering from masking issues
  3. Helper Required: Have a second person turn the steering wheel back and forth from roughly 11 o’clock to 1 o’clock repeatedly
  4. Visual Inspection: While the wheel is being turned, observe all front-end joints:
    • Track bar ends
    • Tie rod ends
    • Drag link
    • Pitman arm
    • Steering shaft for immediate response
Look for side-to-side movement or slop in any joints

Working fine until the tires were replaced and the Jeep was aligned.

Take it back to the shop and tell them to fix it.

Happen to have an alignment sheet?

If you want to fix it then get the tires balanced and get a tape measure to check the alignment.
