That would be my first car. 1971 Chevelle. My grandpa got it for me when I was 13. We got it road worthy till I got my license and it’s been a project ever since. It really doesn’t get much attention anymore and I rarely drive it. I actually had it out yesterday to wash it.What is that I spy in the garage there?
Made a bunch of progress with my M416 trailer. All it needs is to paint the wheels black and get some new tires put on!

Well I have Savvy lower control arms coming next week to replace the worn out RE controls arms. Savvy Fox rear shocks should also be here next week and the front shocks are ordered, but on back order. JKS sway bar disconnects should be here this week as well, to replace the worn out RE ones! Pumped to get some new parts on the jeep.

There was only 2 in the driveway for a couple months. The black 04 was sold then. Wish I could have kept it at the time. It was more fun to drive on road than the LJ.
Witch one preformes better all around? I love the fact I can flip a ue on the street and I've never had a problem in the hills but there's been a few things I couldn't climb over. Does the LJ outperform the TJ?
Neither performs better, it’s all relative.
Come on any of the trails around here and I can show you trails where the TJ Unlimited will fair far better, and also trails where a SWB TJ will outperform the longer wheelbase.

Thanks for the input, I guess my question should've been more direct to witch one he prefers more the TJ or TJU.
I enjoyed driving my 04 rubi with the 5 speed manual more on road and for trips. The 5 speed made the jeep feel like it had more pep to it.
My 06 lj with the 6 spd drives like a truck with a granny 1st gear. It’s slow... but I love having the extra space.
I don’t “off-road” much with either. I mostly cruise old logging roads in the Mts and both Jeep’s did that without an issue. I am anxious to get the new suspension parts on to see how the lj handles then.

Looks like I need to have my Adam’s off-road front driveshaft rebuilt. Angry sparrows has started again. Not too happy with only getting 3 years out of it.

Around 50 yards offhand. I was sitting in an old clearcut and he walked into it from 200 yards away. He bedded down about 150 yards from me. I was able to sneak up to 50 yards from him before he jumped up and shot him. It was a buck that had already lost its antlers, which kinda stinks but is also cool as well.
It was the very first shot out of that flintlock as well. I had built by Ron Luckenbill last year and never had a chance to shoot it. Ron built the flintlock carried by Leonardo decaprio in the Revenant movie.
Nicely done! It's not easy to hit something at 50 yards with black powder and first shot out of the gun just means you were one with the gun. I wish we had snow all we have is the cold. Usually this time of year we have 8 to 10 in. I'm just getting ready to winter camp for the new year, leaving in the morning. It's not the same Without the snow! Your LJ looks nice setting in front of the cabin in the snow and the smoke rising. I want to move there too!
Are savvy lower control arms direction by chance? I just finished the rears and am tightening the jam nuts. I find it odd the the jam nuts are different sizes and one end of the control arm as a line around it. One jam nut is 1 3/8” the other is larger. I’m using 1 1/2” on that but it’s a little large.
