Jeep Tj headunit

Hi everyone,
I have just bought a 2005 TJ last week and it has the factory head unit in it. I really like the look of the factory unit and dont want to get rid of it but i want to improve the sound and usability of it.
First of all, does anyone know of a way to add bluetooth and or just aux to the unit? I dont really want one of the FM transmitters; I want a more hardwired permanent solution.
Secondly, is it possible to improve the sound of the stereo in the jeep by only upgrading the speakers, or do I really just need to suck it up and get a new headunit too?

New aftermarket speakers will be higher quality than oem so they will sound more clear at higher volume.
Adding 4 channel amp and replacing the speakers is what you want.

Crutchfield.com has a lot of information.
I dont think bluetooth can be added.

There's a company that sell factory head units with bluetooth/aux added into them, you can even send yours in to recoup some of the cost. I think a few people here have run them and I've only heard good things.
