Jeeperman Tire Carrier Rattle & Sliders question

I recently purchased an LJR hat has both a Jeeperman rear bumper/carrier as well as the frame mounted rock sliders they offered. I've come to find that when closing the swing away there is significant wobble in the entire pivoting assembly. Also when driving Arizonas washboard roads I can hear it back there rattling.

My question regarding the carrier is if anyone has experience with it specifically or the Jeeperman stuff of old more generally. Is the "slam-shut" mechanism serviceable or replaceable? I would prefer to keep the bumper as I think I could rig up something similar to the Rock Hard 4x4 cargo setup, but is it a lost cause?

Regarding the sliders, they appear to not be the 1" body lift version. Is there any way to incorporate this? I would like to eventually chip away at a tummy tuck and again would prefer to keep the sliders. I like the diamond plate and they do appear quite stout. Is the gap of a standard slider on a body lifted jeep as noticeable as I'm imagining it to be? Thanks for any insight.

i think most of them that have a single point anchor from the bumper rattle a bit.
that design really needs some type of connection higher on the gate to hold the wheels weight from shifting. you could try and tighten the pivot joint if your able, it may help some.

the sliders most use are tub mounted, not frame mounted. tub mounted sliders will stay with the tub when a BL is incorporated,
are the steps mounted to the slider or do they hang from the frame rail?.

I had the front and rear bumpers on my old TJ. I sold the front and ran the rear swing-a-way on my LJ for a number of years.
I just recently sold it and went a different route.
Their bumpers were built solid. I only had two issues with my bumpers. The powder coat started to peel after less than a year,
Jeeperman made good on it and sent me two replacement bumpers. The second issue was getting the tire carrier to stop rattling. It did take some adjusting and messing with the rubber bumpers on the tailgate, but I eliminated about 80% of the rattle.

I have the Jeeperman sliderz with a 1" tummy tuck. Its not terrible, but I too hope to raise them up some day.
