Selling my Joying unit that I purchased for $400.

Price: $140 (free shipping to US 48)

I liked the unit but wanted to try something different when replacing the center bezel.

I used it in Bluetooth mode for music the last few months since it wasn't connecting wirelessly to Car Play after I messed up and removed my phone from the unit's settings. I couldn't get it to work and simply used bluetooth without caring too much. This didn't affect the Bluetooth connection, so I ran my Spotify music on the screen and the map on my phone. I would have probably figured it out if I wasn't already wanting a double din setup when needing a new bezel.

The device also connects to Car Play (and Android phones) via USB, but I removed the GPS module and USB cords when I removed the selectable cameras about a year and a half ago. Note: I read that the phone needs to be connected to USB-1 and the GPS device needs to be connected to the unit (included) in order to conner Cap Play via USB. I didn't have that stuff connected when I lost the ability to connect Car Play wirelessly, so I can't confirm. I know I used the corded version just fine when I first had the unit. I priced the ad lower to account for this.

Additionally, Joying was very helpful when I needed a firmware update after purchasing the unit. Their tech support seemed solid based on my experience.

There is no volume knob. I've included the push-button and wheel-type volume knobs. They both work with the same transponder, but you can only use one at a time due to how they program into the key-command inputs. I preferred the button-type so that's what is programmed to the unit's commands. I never installed the wheel-type.

The unit includes the antenna coupler and the harness adaptor. It's ready to be wired up and bolted in. Note: I made sure to solidly attached the unit to the mounting face during my first install...it's good to go.

Note: I placed the transponder on the rear-left side above the unit...steering wheel side (nice spot out of the way that allowed me to remove the center bezel and stereo without worry.

I placed the control knob where I felt was best for ease of use and arm comfort...this was my preferred spot

I’ve been running a similar version since March 2023. This is a great price for someone what wants CarPlay without Sony prices.
