You're easily entertained.
During the summer after I graduated from high school I had the privilege to work as a research assistant in the chemistry department at Harvey Mudd College under an education grant from the American Chemical Society.
When the department chair, who the Harvey Mudd students affectionately and somewhat fearfully called "J. Arthur God" behind his back, caught us experimenting with various ways to make stink bombs instead of what we were supposed to be doing I clearly remember him remarking, "It doesn't take much to amuse the simple."
Without hesitation I cheerfully responded, "No, it doesn't."
He turned to me and replied, "
You don't have to call me Dr. Campbell,
you can call me Jim." [I never did.] He then quietly wrote down the chemical formula for the best stink bomb ever, told me to design it as a repeatable experiment for a high school chemistry class, and went about his day.
I've remained easily amused ever since.
