It is a thing if we make it one

Let's definitely talk about it!
Surprised with a four day weekend. thinking of headed to ouray, any suggestions or don’t miss opportunities?
Starting Imogene from the Telluride side, driving into Ouray, then Black Bear back into Telluride would make a good day.
I think the best part of Engineer Pass is not really Engineer Pass at all, but Mineral Creek, which takes off eastbound from Highway 550 and connects to the western terminus of engineer. It’s rocky and a little scary but still family friendly. Engineer itself is high and flat and there is better scenery elsewhere.
I usually start up Corkscrew Gulch as a warmup; it takes you right among the three Red Mountains Then hit hurricane pass, which is the top of Poughkeepsie Gulch at Lske Como.
Don’t miss Imogene, but if there’s time go toward Yankee Boy and explore the unnamed roads in Silver Basin and Governor Basin.
just hoping it’s not busy. since it is a weekend.
