I sold my truck and bought a new/old tow rig. The “rebuilt” transmission went out 15 minutes from the guys house. Total crap shoot of a marketplace deal. I need to stick to buying Jeeps…
I doubt I’ll have my towing situation sorted by then, but am shooting for a trip to run Mt Blanca on July 8th one way or another.

Some people just have zero integrity or human decency. I’ve sold stuff on marketplace and had things go wrong after the sale. I’ve always gone out my way to make things right. I put a heater core in a guys TJ four months after he bought it from one time.
I literally didn’t make it close to home before it gave out. Really don’t think he expected it to. He really did rebuild it. Had receipts. But he admittedly didn’t remove the thread locker and re locktite the feed bolts on reassembly - which was the cause of the problem.
I’d be buying the truck back or at least trying to get me on the road. Or paying for a new transmission just to help me sleep at night.

I would like to throw my hat in the ring for Mt Blanca as well. I started this trail with a couple of other jeeps about 3 years ago. Both of them broke axle shafts, one on Jaws 1 and the other on Jaws 2. We turned around after that so I want another opportunity to see the other end of the trail.
unable to make the 25th. i’ll take my youngest on a MTB ride on the 24th.

If we push it to Sunday the 28th I’m a maybe if I can get my hub kit, ball joint deletes and tires switched to different beadlocks when I get back from Sodak next week.
