Pic I took right before my 1st snow ride in my jeep, had a blast. Found some unplowed roads and parking lots, lol.
I wish!! Can't wait for the fist snow.Pic I took right before my 1st snow ride in my jeep, had a blast. Found some unplowed roads and parking lots, lol.
Jeeps and snow. Just gotta love the combination.
Yup, we're supposed to get 2 - 4" of snow this afternoon around here. Another 2- 4" overnight. Most of the newer locals are going to just loose their minds. Individually and collectively. Two snowflakes bump each other and you'd think it was a new ice age. People have literally stopped their cars in the middle of the road, gotten out and walked away. They do that in numbers larger than the tow trucks can pull them out of the way.
Oregon Urban Dwellers are just timid little souls all the way around. Things have changed a lot over the last 40 years around here. And not for the better it seems. Hey @Chris, did you know that the Columbia River froze over back in 1919? The Oregon Historical Society has a bunch of pictures of it. Cars driving to Vancouver across the river, a pretty large ship frozen in the river, horse teams moving stuff around on the river, etc. It's pretty cool. Can't imagine that happening today.
It makes me think of the scene from Batman where the Joker says "People just loose their minds". Love that, and so appropriate. To bad we couldn't come up with an emoticon for that, to go with the special snowflake emoticon.
It's not just up there in Oregon, guys! People here in Ohio / Kentucky don't know how to handle it either. You have the ones who drive as fast as they do when its dry pavement, and those who go ridiculously slow, no in-between!
Hell, the state of Kentucky shuts down when there is snow in the forecast!
Anyway, nothing like going out and playing in the snow with a 4wd! I have not had the jeep out in any snow yet, but I love getting my Tundra out and playing in it!

I have yet to take the jeep in the snow but yes, I agree, my tundra was extremely fun in the snow!

We got about 8" of snow today, and things went on like we didn't get anything. Just a normal winter day here.![]()
