Leaky Neutral Safety Switch

Hey everyone just looking for some tips/advice. Working on fixing a transmission fluid leak. I was able to narrow it down to the Neutral Safety Switch. Just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to fix this I would appreciate it. I have been able to find some limited diagrams but that is it. From my understanding it is screwed in tightly but appears to be loose or have slightly popped off on the other end. I was trying to find a video where someone fixes this but didn’t have any luck. If anyone has videos or could explain the best procedure for fixing it I would appreciate it. (pictures attached of current one and also a new one just for reference. i cleaned mine up some but it was after the picture

First thing I would do is get things cleaned up all around the sensor and pan.
Second, you actually contradict yourself in this comment.?
"it is screwed in tightly but appears to be loose..."
and what do you mean by this...
"or have slightly popped off on the other end"

Looking at the images of the new one it looks like there is a compression seal that comes with the new sensor. If in fact everything is tight, my first thought would be that's where the leak is coming from.

Worst case scenario, all the more reason to get it cleaned up really well, is there could be a crack in the vacinity of the sensor that is causing the leak... (Again absolute worst case scenario so very doubtful)

Thanks. And by loose I mean the plastic connected part on the opposite end of the threads. Would anyone have any ideas as to how to take it off to inspect it further? there is limited space to reach up there which means many tools won’t fit and it is roughly a 1 inch size head

From the looks of it the easiest way to get to it would be to remove the drive shaft.

Buy a new switch, drop the front of the driveshaft and replace the switch. It is problem leaking between the body and plastic connector.

Buy a new switch, drop the front of the driveshaft and replace the switch. I think those are pipe thread if so use Teflon tape on the switch and install. Pipe thread is tapered so snug it down don’t keep tightening or you could crack the hole.

I noticed the picture and modified my thread. Still replace the switch leaking between the body and connector most likely
