Hi All,

I'm once again in the market for an LJ or TJ.

Ideally I'd like to spend under 10k.
- Clean title
- Clean body, frame
- 4.0L
- Automatic - still cant convince my wife to drive stick doh!

I dont mind shipping it or driving it home if necessary just would like to avoid any body work in the future.

I've been cruising FB and this forums for the past couple days but figured I'd also drop a post here to see what's out there.

Thank you!

I have an 03 TJ Sport for sell. 4.0, auto. 160k miles. Georgia Jeep and rust free!

I have it on FB marketplace, haven't put it on here yet.

Found the following:
2005 LJ
160k
4.0L
Auto
Blue w/ color matched fenders
Soft top, No mods, no rust or rot, clean frame.

Two questions: what would you guess a fair price is? 10k?

What mechanical things should I look out for at this mileage?

Thank you!

Would be more like $13k -$14k down here in Jawja I would think.

Everyone on the forum hates him now and won't talk to him lol

And for good reason! lol I mean, I'm happy for him, but you hate to see other people have the luck you wish you had.

I'll be ok though, I love my TJ, and as long as I don't ever drive or ride in an LJ, I can go on living in ignorant bliss.

I've paid a lot less for 10 inches in my life

My very first check-over of anything that comes in my garage is fluids/undercarriage.

Don't worry so much about the little stuff, you can fix that over time.
Any fluid/undercarriage/engine/transmission stuff needs to be taken care of ASAP, because those can all snowball into deeper issues.

Ended up grabbing it. It's decent. Will be cleaning it up and going from there!

You scored good!

LJ's with the description you posted are going for around 14-18k in my area.

I would have paid $10k for what you said, If I could have found it!

I wish either of my two were Automatic!
I love driving manual transmission, but damn am I doing chores on the trails, while everyone else is lolligagging up the rocks. :ROFLMAO:
