Locker issues after loud noise

Hey Guys, so I’m new to this and am having some troubles. I work in Texas so I am not around the Jeep right now but I just bought the Jeep almost a month ago and right before leaving to come back to west Texas I was messing around with the lockers and the front and rear lights kept flashing but I figured if I move a little bit they would lock in(impatience)...... that’s when I heard a loud pop and now the front locker light is permanently flashing even when the Jeep is off and when I move forward or reverse there’s a continuous clunk, clunk, clunk but when stoped it’s quiet. Please help, I would like to have it fixed as soon as I get back to Mississippi for Jeepin the coast. It’s a 2004 Jeep Wrangler rubicon manual transmission.

Turn the locker switch back off. Or shift to 4lo to let them engage, then turn them off. Open your drivers manual and everything is clearly explained. Then don't F- with stuff when you aren't sure what can happen. Easier said than done. I'm still trying to learn that last one too.
Good luck. In the event of an emergency you can unhook the battery cables for a while and that will normally undo most electronic types of "OH " moments!

most definitely need to work on the patience, I found some one time but lost em soon after. I put it in 4lo when I locked em in but this time it was just taking forever unlike every time before. I believe something is broke because I tried to disengage them while in 4 Lo but only the rear would turn off, I tried turning off the rig a few times and even took it out of 4x4 completely but never would stop flashing “ front locker” and then the continuous clunk clunk sound every time I’m moving but I didn’t have enough time to get under and listen to pin point anything. I’m wondering if it’s the transfer case, gears or axles

IIRC they also automatically disengage when you hit 45 mph. You could try that. Just be sure you are on some dirt or sand.

Remove the front differential cover and do an inspection..
The CLUNK, CLUNK, CLUNK... doesn't sound good...

Yep, I would guess from that noise that once you remove the front diff cover, you’ll find some obviously broken parts.

IF there are sparklies or little metal pieces... that would be a sure sign of a problem.

I'm thinking there might even be a sizable chunk! I guess we'll see (assuming he follows-up).
