what injectors did you go with?

what injectors did you go with?
Some Bosch 4 hole injectors from ebay
They were cheap with the discount code ebay suggested
However I should've gone with ones from K-suspension but I couldn't wait any longer since urgently needed some injectors (couldn't even hold 90 on the highway cause of the misfire)
K-Suspension has a 1or2 week lead time I believe

Edit-These ebay ones come from a pretty reputable store (as far as the reviews go) as to why I got em,So far they work well !

Did you try the three key then start trick? If so did it start any quicker?

Can you add a video of your starting sequence so we can follow and give you a better answer?

OK, this morning i replaced the fuel injectors with some Bosch rebuilt 4 hole injectors. Once i got it started let it sit for several hours.
When i tried again it didn't start until the third crank. Didn't pump the pedal. See if you notice how it tries to start when i stop cranking on the first attempt.
Any ideas at all??

Wow. Engine sounds good once it’s running, but you are correct on a really long crank to start.

Humor me on something. Turn the key to the on position three times without turning the key to the spring loaded position that engages the starter. Then on the fourth time you turn the key engage the starter. Just humor me and see what happens.

Reading this thread and thinking about this hot summer - my TJ gains a long crank (2-3 sec) when I shut it off when the AC is engaged. Otherwise the engine fires in under 1 sec.

I was thinking some sort of drag by the AC that somehow slows the engine, but haven't bothered looking into it. But, here's a question - do you have AC and is it 'on' when trying to start your Jeep?

I use the primary ac most of the time. The secondary ac is only used when stuck in traffic or if it rains and it helps to keep the rain out when the windows are all out.

Primary = windows out safari top on
Secondary = the compressor and blower

Your not gonna cycle the key three times and crank on the fourth are you?

I quit

I do have AC however i have not had the AC on yet this year. So no drag.

I agree never thought that would work, but trying anything at this point. I am probably going to take to local garage guy I know and have him hook up his scanner and see if he gets any codes.

You don't need codes.

You need to monitor live data to see what the computer sees.

I'd be interested to see what happens if you gave it a healthy spray of starting fluid.

That might narrow down if this a fuel or spark issue.

You night also be to the point where you need to do a compression and possibly a leak down test.

Dang that’s a great idea. That would definitely separate the fuel/electrical problem. At least give a direction to look.

@sasnak you should really try this before you trot off to a shop.

tried that, made no difference. however it did backfire the next time i tried to start. That is a first. going to look at dist cap and timing next.

So in my opinion that rules out a fuel issue as you have been pushing. Leaves some electrical problem. Hmmmm? Gotta think a bit harder.

I am just following what people have been suggesting to do based on what is happening. Just removed the dist cap and rotor and all look as new.
the cam position sensor has been replaced right after i purchased along with the dist cap, plugs, and wires
