I'm new to Jeeping so I bought a 2006 Rubicon 6 speed. I'm wanting to get into the overlanding. 33 inch tires are about the biggest tires I want. Money is limited, so 2" lift with a 1" body lift is what I was thinking to do.
Anyone have any advice about that.

31's or 32's will get you to most overlanding type trails, and will be kinder for the gearing you have. For 33's to work well, a 4" lift works best, or a combination of a 3" suspension lift/1" BL. That opens up Pandora's Box for mods required to accommodate that.

32’s will fit that nicely. I have a 04 Rubi 2 inch lift. 33’s would be way to much. I’m all stock every where else but anti rock sway bars and a Savvy oil pan skid

I don’t have a BL but I’m looking into it.

X2 to the above. You need 4” of lift to successfully run 33s.

For a good 2" (+) lift the OME springs are hard to beat. Add in some Rancho 5000x shocks, upgrade to a ZJ steering and a Rough Country 5752 adj. track bar and 32" tires and you can take on any but the most crazy trails. ( No KOH type trails)
