Looking for pricing input on a TJ

No way been there done that with a 2001 rust bucket. My 2004 is solid no rust issues.

I hope it's just you thinking of buying the rust bucket not your brother pushing you to buy. My first cousin was selling his pickup years ago. I told him I was interested he said I won't sell to you.

He said he only sells things to strangers, no family or friends that way we can still be friends if something happens to the truck.

Upon further review...

When I first read that I thought his was a Rubicon..he just updated years.

It's just a 4.0 sport with the wrong transmission.
Miles are right but that's the only thing going for it.

Having said that it can still be repaired. It's still a TJ with a 70k 4.0 and 70k on the running gear.

Thats a $3,200-4,200 jeep as it sits.

If you're contemplating keeping it or parting out...get some safeTcaps and pay someone to weld it up. I'm being very serious.
Spray the frame down inside and out real good with PFC from Berkebile and quit worrying about it and run it.

not at all, my brother and I have built so many cars together and swapped motors, and parts between us it’s crazy we just like to always throw some form of monetary value on it to keep things even. Plus we like to bust each other’s balls all the time over the items and prices. It’s all in good brotherly fun man.

Well the polished turd is all mine lol for me it’s just a parts buggy and what I don’t use will pop up in the for sale section shortly as it will be a full part out.

Man, that's too bad it's got to get parted out. It's not a bad looking Jeep. Those recent pics don't tell the full story though I'm sure...:cautious:

If you think of it, keep us posted on your progress? I'm always interested to see how folks end up doing in the "parting out" scene.

I plan on bringing it over to my house this weekend when I do I’ll post pics of all problem areas I found and see what you guys think about em. I say just part it and be done but others might spend the time to fix it up. I’ll let the pictures do the talking lol.

Well I finally got my new jalopy in my yard tonight lol. Here’s some pics of the underbody cancer and why I just say to part it out, it’s too bad cuz this thing still drives really nice awesome suspension, great steering, and the 4.0 runs phenomenal.

My 2001 was worse its such a waste, I'm making sure my 2004 doesn't end up like that.

That’s exactly why my 2005 never sees snow and salt and is put in storage for the winters. Michigan winters will eat up a tj in no time unfortunately
