Loose brake caliper

Needs new pins then.

Mr. Blaine is there a replacement pin kit for this situation? I have a 2006 Jeep tj and the drivers side lower bolt / pin for caliper is loose. Any suggestions? I understand you are the TJ master. Thank you in advance sir!

Are the threads in the knuckle stripped or are the guide sleeves worn?

Are the threads in the knuckle stripped or are the guide sleeves worn?

Threads in knuckle are stripped. Only bottom one on drivers side. Was considering using a nursert or rivnut - unless there was a a better option? Just did a full front end rebuild and when I went to put the calipers back in the lower bolt would t snug down.

We have a knuckle repair kit on the blackmagicbrakes.com site. I'd recommend using a solid insert of some sort, Timesert, EZ LOK, etc. but do not use a heli-coil type since they are for blind holes, not through holes and there is no good way to lock them in place.

Ok will do. Would a nursert or rivnut work in your opinion? I’ve seen guys use tee nuts too. The drill them out and jb weld them in. Anyone have luck with those? I think I’ll investigate the EZ Lok on the website you mentioned, Mr. Blaine. Thanks for your time and knowledge.
