I bought my jeep with a small tranny and oil leak. Oil leak isn’t bad but the transmission is the one I’m worried about. The PO said he added fluid every-other month before I bought it and this is a red flag but for the price a bought the jeep for it was a steal ( 2k for a fairly rust free jeep). I changed the fluid last weekend and it was a dark green sludge. It took almost 2 hours for maybe 1.5-2 quarts to drain! I did this because it became a little clunky when shifting into 2nd and 3rd. I changed it with MT90 but not much of a difference, It shifts better cold though. My tranny has 230k on it, Maybe its time for a rebuild? Thoughts?
