March 25 was declared National Medal of Honor Day to boost recognition of the heroism of our Medal of Honor recipients. The military's highest decoration was first presented on March 25, 1863. Thank you to all our Veteran and active-duty Medal of Honor recipients for serving our country.

I didn’t know that there were living recipients of the award until I met one about a decade ago, and I’m talking Vietnam and older. Not the recent events

I've only ever met one and he was a Korean veteran. It's always a real honor to meet a recipient.
