They have these spots at Lowe's now. I parked in one the other day and when I came out there was a kid checking the vehicles. I have Vietnam Veterans plates, so he didn't bother me. However, he made one guy move his gigantic Ford F-350 truck. The driver claimed he didn't see the sign. Fuck-stick!
I'm a bit surprised seeing as how woke Lowe's reportedly is.

HD out here makes you download the app for a military discount...no thanks, I'll just shop at Lowes...better yet, the local true value, they still have hardware in pull-out drawers.

Lowe's only gives you the discount online. You can pickup the item at the store but you have to buy it online to get the discount.

I use True Value here too as Lowe's & Home Depot are 75 minutes away.

Lowes here just rings it up 10% off. Sometimes they ask to see your ID but usually not.

Out here it's only online. I was going in to buy a new dishwasher and had to buy it online to get the discount.

For me HD here just asks to see my ID. Helped out when I just got a new washer & dryer.

That’s odd how places do it differently. The Lowes in my town gives the discount in person as well as online.

Home Depot and Lowe's both have veteran's parking spots. And they both offer a discount to veteran's also.

O'Reilly's gives a veteran's discount also.

I’ve never served but I’m involved with the school cadet programme (close to your Air Force JROTC I believe).

When I joined in 2003 every time we went away on camp we would open another tin of dessert from a stock from the 80s. Heated up, doused in whisky, set alight and with custard they were almost edible. We did melt a few of the plastic plates.

Anyway, time to get up and get ready for our Remembrance Sunday parade…
