Milwaukee Fuel Oscillating Tool

I’m not sure how many you guys are into heavy carpentry, but this particular tool has an automatic mode that ramps up the oscillations based on resistance- it can save tremendous amount of time on many tasks.


Also, if you do a little looking, you can get multi tool blades by the 50 pack for about $1.67 a blade online. I’ve used them for years.

I was resisting buying a multi tool as I thought this pos is a gimmick and won’t work. I bought a m-18 one to section in some rotted wood on window frames on my 85 year old house. I was amazed how much time this tool saved me. I am a believer now.

For years I viewed the tool in much the same way you did, but after a while, I decided to buy the M18 Fuel Brushless. Haven't had a chance (need) to use it yet, but I keep hearing enough positive things about 'em that I'm fairly certain that I won't be disappointed when I finally do.

Originally designed to cut casts off by German Dr. Fein, the patent expired and these became prolific.

The Milwaukee fuels we have get used all the time, even for framing and demo - the Dewalts we have a variable speed trigger and more of a finesse, fine trim tool.

The Milwaukee “A” auto mode on the dial stunned me.

I have a ryobi one and it does have a ton of uses. Don't think it has the ramp up mode though.

They both do I think, the fuel just has the A as well as the numbers on the dial. Both are great, the fuel can just be more aggressive.

We constantly say we don’t know how we worked before multi tools came along. Indispensable for some tasks.
