I was pottering around today and in the engine bay and I noticed for the first time that I seem to have a hose missing. I went online and looked at many pictures of TJ engine bays and saw that more often than not this tube/hose is missing frequently- some had it most didn’t .I’m really interested in what it is and where actually goes and if it’s important.

I've attached some pictures to show you the part I mean, I’d love to know what it’s for and where it actually goes. The first is the picture of where this part attaches to at one end yet the hose is missing. The other pictures show the actual hose attached would love to know where the other end goes and how important it is.Thanks.

Looks like you have an optional cruise control cable circled.

What "Maverick" said. :D Cable connection for the cruise control servo.

What you have circled is the TV or throttle valve cable. It is used for 97-02 TJs with the 32rh automatic transmission.

Fun fact, your 2006 also has the intake air temp sensor in a different location than 2004 and earlier.
