If its spinning, a thread section might be gone. I cant remmeber if the nut is welded in the mount, i would try put a but of pressure from the bottom to see if it catches on some thread and you can take it out.

It’s not spinning. I believe there is a welded nut on the other side. I’m thinking when ratcheting the bolt out, the threads were so corroded that it got stuck. I’m going to give it another go with the propane torch later and see if that works. If not, as much as it pains me, I may just outsource this job and avoid this headache.

On another note, if I need to drive it to the shop, it’s ok to remove the fan shroud and drive short distances, correct?

IIRC, the mounting bracket is attached to the engine with three bolts. Remove the entire mounting bracket from the engine, then you’ll be free to work with that bolt.
