MML Spacers?

Hey guys, I did a 1 inch body lift and now my fan shroud doesn't line up. I am not sure if repositioning it lower would effect the air flow or the radiator tubes being drawn up to high(because radiator now sits higher). Should I do a MML or put Spacers? Or just reposition the shroud and not worry about it?

I have a 2 inch lift and am not sure it MML will affect the drive shaft or not.

If your motor mounts are in good condition I would use spacers. That’s what I did.

I replaced them with autozone ones not too long ago. Not sure if they are as good as stock.

Don't install a MML or motor mount spacers just because your fan shroud no longer lines up with the fan after a body lift.

Instead, simply drill four new mounting bolt holes 1" higher than the factory holes which will position the shroud 1" lower so it will once again be properly aligned with the fan blades.

Yes, but won't it affect air flow? Since part of the radiator will not be in the shroud?

Nope, what I recommended is done all the time.

I ended up trimming the shroud. It was only a little bit.

Hell it took me about 30 seconds to elongate the holes in the shroud with my Dremel.

Hey, I asked for some advice and got what I needed. I trimmed the shroud because I found it to be better that way. If the end result fails, oh well, I will lower the shroud next time. I can do over again. It's a Jeep and it can always be fixed.
