Colorado Moving

Work takes me into various areas and neighborhoods, from the ruff-n-tuff to the gated. There are some easily spotted commonalities that seem to be universal.

Good neighborhoods will be kept generally "neat" i.e. lawns cut, no junk sitting around, etc. Vehicles in the driveways will be in good conditions. On nice days people will be out running for exercise or walking a dog.

Bad neighborhoods are the opposite. Properties are generally unkept. Broken/damaged vehicles will be dominate. People will not be outside in the morning time, but will stagger out around lunch or later, and sit around (not exercising). Another dead giveaway, you can smell the weed smoke floating through the neighborhood. The really bad neighborhoods will have dirty looking hookers walking around and obvious dealers watching everybody.

Basically I think it comes down to if the people have pride or not, and the morals/character that comes with it.

So: nice cars, people exercising, no junk sitting around, manicured lawns, and clean hookers. I can get behind that.

I love the Piedmont.

it’s a really nice state (NC) @lBasket

probably the best on the original list

If you haven't been here in the last 5 years there have been some significant changes. The Charlotte, Raleigh and Wilmington areas have exploded and expanded. Since da 'vid we have gained about 10% in population, and it shows.

Yes these are good points and that does sound like me. I've done the 90-120min commute before and it is miserable, I'd like to keep it under 30mins ideally and under an hour at worst.

I suppose I should also be considering whether the dating scene is any good now that you mention it 🤣 the closest metro to me now, Colorado springs, was rated one of the worst cities in the country for it

If you ask me, dating is gonna be easier if the population is higher. I think those ratings of "best cities to be single" are retarded

Any place you go that has a medium sized city somewhere nearby will be better than the sticks

I just looked at your profile, if you are 32, it's time for you to find a wife - God bless you man, i bet it's tough out there, but I have one tip for dating: don't waste your time with a girl who has career aspirations. Find a girl who wants to be a mom and stay at home and be your helper and recognizes you as the leader. This is unfortunately not easy to find I bet, but thankfully it's becoming more popular, thanks to more visibility about traditional families and their importance to the success of society over the last decade.

I be trying, it certainly is not easy.

That's wild, but looking around and thinking back, I don't doubt it. Our little out-of-the-way beach towns are gone now, and that really makes me sad. :(

Sorry man

Screw being close to tech, find the city with the most of whatever type of women you like.

+ 1 , Find the right one and move forward , If you want a great wife and to have kids , time is of the essence . You don't want folks to think you're the grand pa at your kids H.S. graduation .

Yes it sure sucks. I don't want to rush into things but I sure am getting old!! And now I need to take time to get over the last one too!
