i gotta say it's a very interesting option for single guys - just seems really risky if you actually value the sanctity of marriage, aka if you go to the Phillipines and bring back a girl to marry, you get married in a valid ceremony, and she bails on you? You're screwed - you can't get married again, Christ taught us that

Yeah I'm not sure I'm into it that much.

It's not that much of a derail to me honestly, this is incredibly tangential to the motivation of moving...

+ 1 , Find the right one and move forward , If you want a great wife and to have kids , time is of the essence . You don't want folks to think you're the grand pa at your kids H.S. graduation .

I hoped you didn't take my comment as too harsh , I've watched my buddy go through 3 marriages . His 1st . he was 21 and had kids at 22 and 24 and had a son with #2 when he was 40 . He was somewhat distant from his kids since he had older ones and a young one . I'm NOT saying this is you , but it gets much harder the older you are. Hang in there Trevor !

Oh you're good it's all stuff I know. It's getting harder and harder to find women that aren't divorced/don't already have kids at this age too which sucks. So much trauma to have to work through. We all have some but you don't get divorced cos things were good...

Stopped by to check out the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. They let me leave after I bought a sticker for the Jeep.

Worked with a guy that brought his Asian companion back from China and married her. They could barely talk to each other.

He moved away so I don’t know how it turned out but it lasted for a few years.

I don’t know how they get around these days. three of my kids are in the dating pool.

all the social media garbage. the deceptions and crap. I’d see the young guys in the military on the dating sites swiping away.

i was very Fortunate, met my Wife in High school. before Cell phones were a thing.

Met my wife in college, in meat space. I must have been more pretty back then and she saw some income potential. Because I was broke as fuck.

I'm not sure we went on a "real date" until we were on our Honeymoon. Might have been the first time we had dinner out. Most of the time it was walking to keg parties off campus. $2 cover, all you could drink.

My daughter met her husband online. Weird.

I'm 6'-3" so I had the height. But made 4 figures a year.

Consider Chattanooga TN or Huntsville AL both tech centers, decent COL. Chattanooga has you closer to national forests etc… but there’s some good rides and pay to play 4 wheel parks in area. I prefer Chattanooga but Huntsville is real hot right now.

How far is Chattanooga from Nashville? I have heard that's a cool city.

Huntsville is one of the fastest growing cities in the country right now. Most of that is being driven by a huge relocation of aerospace to the area. I am an hour North of Nashville now and it offers plenty to do but the COL definitely reflect that also. I think it is 2.5 hrs. between Chattanooga and Nashville probably more realistic to figure on 3 hrs. with traffic.

Well, our cold front left us last night. 8am this am was 80 degrees and ~90% humidity, and we're heading to the mid 90s today. My short morning run was like running in the shower.
