so how do you rate a place to live? what is a measurable guide?
in Aviation we are constant moving. and i had a client recently that told me an easy yard stick to use,
go to a store. Are the shopping carts in their pen or are they left where they where discarded.
what are some of the others that you guys use?

Great question!! I'd like to know that too almost everywhere I've ever lived has just been because it was all I could afford
I'd drive around and see how many people I have to give the finger.
i’ve moved every 3 years since 1998. every time it’s because i was told where to live. this move will be on me. and it’s quite daunting. which is partly why we’ve been in CO for four years now.
not to mention the cost of moving all my garbage/junk i’ve collected over the years.
Work takes me into various areas and neighborhoods, from the ruff-n-tuff to the gated. There are some easily spotted commonalities that seem to be universal.
Good neighborhoods will be kept generally "neat" i.e. lawns cut, no junk sitting around, etc. Vehicles in the driveways will be in good conditions. On nice days people will be out running for exercise or walking a dog.
Bad neighborhoods are the opposite. Properties are generally unkept. Broken/damaged vehicles will be dominate. People will not be outside in the morning time, but will stagger out around lunch or later, and sit around (not exercising). Another dead giveaway, you can smell the weed smoke floating through the neighborhood. The really bad neighborhoods will have dirty looking hookers walking around and obvious dealers watching everybody.
Basically I think it comes down to if the people have pride or not, and the morals/character that comes with it.

I have several cars in my driveway because my garage is full of torn apart Jeep.
I had 4 on my driveway and 3 in the garage, but at least they are running and insured.
Maybe your neighborhood should smell like weed?

I say general trash on the ground is a good indicator . Also how many PayDay loan places are around . The general weather condition are huge in my book , living in the Rockies all my life , has made me a weather snob. Metro Denver is too hot for me , I'm pretty sure I couldn't deal with the south because of heat and Humidity .
what i like about the heat here. sure it’s 90 degrees, but step in the shade and it’s not Hot.
the mountains are too far away for me. and having to traverse all of the Aurora and Denver traffic, 3 hours to get to BV or South park. it’s just too far away
If you lived just a little east of beauty and didn't have the steaming pile of Denver and A town between you and the mountains , it would be better .
