Just got back from 4 days in the canyons surrounding Calico Ghost Town, just outside Barstow California. Such a beautiful and fun place to wheel! We also broke something like 5 out of 15 Jeeps to one degree or another, mostly minor, during the day. Usually it's zero breakages but....

Anyway, the beauty of this place just blows me away. And yeah, in some spots it's downright challenging.

Great photos Jerry. I made this trail a priority before I left California partly based on your recommendations. So glad I did.

When I read your post title I was afraid they were closing it. Glad to see that's not the case. I would visit this place again in a heartbeat. truly incredible.

Very cool trip, Jerry. Thanks for posting up. After the move, come up this direction any time you want to get a wheelin’ fix in.

Great photo's and looks like a fun place to take the jeep.

Not so sure on the winching on the blue JL, is that line attached to the Tie Rod  and not something a little more substantial
