My last hurrah for my favorite wheeling area...Calico Ghost Town Canyons in SoCal

Just got back from 4 days in the canyons surrounding Calico Ghost Town, just outside Barstow California. Such a beautiful and fun place to wheel! We also broke something like 5 out of 15 Jeeps to one degree or another, mostly minor, during the day. Usually it's zero breakages but....

Anyway, the beauty of this place just blows me away. And yeah, in some spots it's downright challenging.

When I read your post title I was afraid they were closing it. Glad to see that's not the case. I would visit this place again in a heartbeat. truly incredible.

Yep - he just doesn't know it yet. As soon as he installs a schnorkel and a pair of OX lockers, he'll be set to tackle Florida!

lol be on here asking how big a tire he can run on a stock width axle without regearing. installing a 6 inch body lift and some lights with smiley faces.

My parents and I pulled into the RV park at Calico in December of 1976 during a rainstorm. The trailer started to sink on one side, dad and I were out in the dark in the torrential rain with jacks and blocks....

Not so sure on the winching on the blue JL, is that line attached to the Tie Rod and not something a little more substantial
