My welding is getting worse!

I was welding the skids and the right side upper control arm mount. I just can’t see the bead like I used to.

So I am just going to grind off the excess and get this hp30 blasted and ready for paint.

I need to do something different for the lower shock mounts, thinking of welding a grade 8 bolt to the top of the lca and space it off the edge 1/2” or so. I guess I need to mock it up and see.

I did get enough penetration…

I have been using a cheater lenses in my hood for probably 10 years now, looks like you are a little hot or not moving fast enough and needed to prep your surfaces better. JMO
