Went off-roading in a CJ5 last year in Cle Elum, WA and had such a blast i swore to myself i'd own a jeep myself sooner than later. Then last July, i found a bone stock 1999 TJ Sport (chili pepper red) with 130k miles. no rust. busted drivers seat and a bad soft top - picked her up for $4000. And it's easily my top 3 favorite cars i've owned (and i've owned 37 vehicles to date).
I've always modded cars growing up - but i've also learned over those years to buy once, cry once. So with the Jeep, I planned out my build and will take my time buying once and crying once haha.
To date, i've replaced the busted tan top with a new black top. replaced brakes, pads, rotors, calipers, drums all around and new rear shocks. upgraded speakers and head unit with a small amp. scored a Warn Zeon 10S winch and winch plate for deals. and upgraded to LED headlights.
Looking forward to learning more about this expensive/rabbit hole of Jeep life and also looking forward to being outfitted properly to hit some trails!
