Need Help with Rear Trackbar

Hey guys, I’ve been installing the currie 4 inch lift on my LJ. Everything was going good with no major issues until it was time to bolt up the rear track bar.

The currie lift came with the relocation bracket for the stock trackbar and so far I’ve tried ratchet straps and tons of prying with little success. Eventually I got one side of the bolt in but now I can’t get it through to the other side of the bracket.

I also noticed now that my rear axle is now off center after finally getting the bolt on. The axle is too far to the passenger side (1/2”). Which was caused by forcing the trackbar to reach the bracket.

Why is this happening and are there other ways to move the axle? I have single adjustable lower control arms and double adjustable upper control arms. Could they be used to shift things into their proper place (Im no suspension expert).

Or is this a sign that I need an adjustable rear trackbar.

Any suggestions and advice is greatly appreciated!

With 4" of lift have you installed a SYE and CV driveshaft? Thst Currie relocation bracket for the axle side mount in the photo just isn't ringing a bell with me though I'm running all Currie back there. Can you post another photo from a different maybe slightly wider angle?

But no matter what with 4" of lift you'd definitely be better off with an adjustable length track bar.

No i haven’t installed an SYE or CV. I thought they weren’t needed on an LJ for a 4 inch life.

That looks like a angled CV style relocation bracket to me. If you don't have a SYE, then that may be your issue.

Yep that track bar bracket is the angled version for use only when you have a CV driveshaft installed. You need to replace it with a straight bracelet.

You're right a CV driveshaft and SYE is not required for a 4" lift with an LJ which I didn't catch before.
