Need help with wiring electric radiator fan

I dont know how to wire my electric radiator Please someone help me I plan to fix my leaking radiator with this new one. It came with a wiring harness kit along with the thermostat and the crimps to do it but I dont know what wire goes where

1. The electric fan has two feeds a blue and black wire

The picture of the wiring harness
-The black is suppose to connect to thermostat im guessing because the end of it is for the bolt on the chasssy?
The Red connectS??? I dont know the ebay seller is ASI performance he sent me the wrong instructions through message this is what he sent me maybe you guys undertsand

1.Mount the relay under the hood in a convenient location as to the fan as possible.


Notice:Don't thread compoud on the thermostat or adaptor.For proper operation,the thermostat must ground threough the threads to the engine and the engine must be ground.


2.Install thermostat into the head or intake manifold.Route the black wire to thermostat and cut to length.Crimp the red terminal onto the black wire and attach to thermostat.


3.Route and connect the red wire to the fan "+" terminal or power wire coming from the fan motor printed "to electric fan".


4.Mount the circuit breaker provided in a convenient location as close as possible to whichever power source(battery or large terminal on the starter solenoid)you are using for the fan relay.


5.Neatly route the red wire from the relay to one side circuit breaker installed in step 5. Cut to length and install using a small yellow ring terminal .With another small yellow ring terminal take the remaining red wire and connect the unused post on the circuit breaker to the battery source.This wire is printed"to battery/constant hot"


6.Route the brown wire to the ignition switch or the fan switch whichever is more convenient.

I FORGOT TO INCLUDE THAT IN THE PICTURE THERE ——.IS ALSO A WHITE COLORED WIRE IN THE WIRING HARNESS i dont know where it connects to either . Please I NEEED HELP there are four wires where do the go the seller said the black wire that has the end connector for chassy goes to the thermostat??

I hope you get some help. Most don't think too highly of either aftermarket TJ radiators or electric fans. The general consensus is to replace both with oem parts for the best performance. Proper cooling is not optional...

If he's going with the Magnum Powers supercharger, he has no choice but to go with an electric fan.

SO I NEED TO REMOVE THE CURRENT TEMPATURE SENSORE AND PUT THE ONE PROVIDED IN THE AND WIRE FEEDS ON TOP OF IT?? TO READ THE TEMP? IS THAT HOW AN ELECTRIC FAN WORKS OR IT JUST TURNS ON WHEN THE CAR TURNS ON AND OFF

Unfortunately I suck with electrical stuff, and I haven’t actually wired one of these up, so I’m not 100% certain how to do it myself.

So i used this originally. You need to wire to a constant (positive battery), Switch (aux), Ground(negative battery). The temp probe I made a T from some pipe fittings from lowes into the heater line. Left the factory temp sensor alone.

Now I use this.....


Love it, have to order through his site but i dont have access to it at the momnent/ government network....

Actually Jeep engineers would say it’s opposite, the misinformation in the forum would make you believe that electric fans are a poor solution for TJ cooling, but it couldn't be more wrong. Jeep engineers engineered and built an electric fan for the TJ Wrangler. If it were me, I would source the Mopar TJ electric fan kit from a junkyard or NOS if it can be found.

If in fact that were true, then they, (Jeep Engineers) would have used the same knowledge and solution for the 2.4 with the electric fan on the 4.0 in the same years onward that it showed up on the 2.4. There are very likely a few reasons they didn't do that if you apply a bit of critical thought to it.

They don't export the 2.4 so there is little chance they (Jeep Warranty and Service) will be on the hook for sub par cooling when you start whipping your mighty horsepower monster up the sand dunes in the Middle East when the temps are over 115 with the AC on full blast.

I know for a fact that the Middle East Radiator for the 4.0 is the same as the US radiator with exception of a different offset on the mounting flanges so it can be installed on a right hand drive. If electric fans worked where it gets hot, they would be on the ME rigs, no?

If the electrics were great, the Liberty would not get a conversion to a mechanical fan clutch and blade when the HD towing package was installed at the dealer.

I live where it gets hot in the summer. If you really believe that the 4.0 can be cooled with the 2.4 electric, I'll pull it off the grill I have and install it on the 04 I have that I drive in the summer. If it doesn't work, then you should have no problem with me sending you the bill to convert it back to the manual set up, right? Surely I am highly misinformed.

If you pull the relay out and show the pins with which color wire goes to them, it won't be hard to figure out.
The black and white wire are most likely controlling the trigger or coil side of the relay.
The red and blue wires are most likely power in and power out to the fan motor given that the red one has a fuse on it. The white wire is likely doing the same thing as the brown wire. It is the power for the trigger. The other side of the trigger is the sensor closing the circuit to ground. You don't have a circuit breaker, you have a fuse holder.

Red with fuse goes to battery +
Blue goes to fan
Black goes to sensor in the block or manifold.
White goes to switched power

@mrblaine I am not sure if you are joking or not, but I really would be open to *help* fund this experiment with you and collaborate when and where I could. If you are willing to run such experiment, write up a detailed how-to with pictures, and report your findings periodically...I would be open to *help* fund it. iwould be dumb not to junp on board with somehting like this. We would need to talk about a ballpark price in a PM and I would have no issue paying half up front if we could agree on a price.

This kind of suggestion and common sense approach is what I am a fan of. This type of experiment and others is what I have been wanting to do for a while on this forum. This project would just make it that much better for not only the forum but all the Tj/LJ owners on it.

Based on the info posted so far, the sensor in the kit is turning the fan on and off at specific temps. It will close the circuit to ground to trigger the relay that turns the fan on when a minimum temp is reached. If the fan is able to cool the system below that threshold, it will open the circuit and turn the fan off.

If it was on and off with the car's ignition, there would be no sensor.

If he is installing the MP SC why would you buy this? Charles sends an electric fan with the setup.
After talking to Charles at length they have had some cooling issues in AZ. The issue is stacking the coolers in the front and the winch limiting air. The solution that worked was placing the SC cooler behind the transfer case with its own fan.
