New brakes, what parts should i get?

noticed wear on my front knuckles from the pads, not sure if i want to bother with welding or purchase replacement knuckles, new knuckles are about $100 for the pair think im gonna go that route as i dont mind disassembly.

other than the knuckles and pads what else should i add to the parts list?

ive got rear disc. photos are of front end. rear calipers rattle on bumps. planning on using same calipers.

rotors are in excellent shape and believe oem, likely will have resurfaced. and hoses are brand spankin new already, ball joints are new, front hub bearings are new.

are there any springs, pins, clips or other stopping components id be wise to do/order?

Head to black magic brakes and buy everything you need. Rotors, pads etc... @mrblaine is the wizard behind these brakes and even the OE replacements will lock up my 35s with ease. Be sure to follow proper break-in procedure!

I always replace the calipers. They're not that expensive, and I'd rather have all new parts and be confident that I have even pressure on both sides of the vehicle.

I'd also replace calipers. And get a couple parts sets to keep the emergency brake system working. Also completely flush the entire brake s8front to back. This will be one of the more important steps to keeping the system working at its best.

everything really appears to work perfectly as is. i can stop on a dime if need be, honestly i was really impressed with braking when i needed a emergency stop before.

im not really looking to change the braking system around, would prefer to keep oem honestly & am not looking to lift or go any larger than the 31" tires currently on it. magic brakes would be too much of a investment imo for what i need, no disrespect. jeeps bone stock and alot of the replacement parts ive done since day one have all been dealer parts.

brake lines have been flushed twice in my possession with sealed cans of fluid, first time as general maintenance and second time after replacing rubber hoses over this past winter. i hesitate replacing calipers because i know what ive returned in the past and how abused they were when turning in. these still have the oem stickers on them iirc.

parking brake system works like new w/o any rust jeep came from a dry environment.

i believe what i need to order is basically knuckles, pads (possibly parking shoes), slide pins, looks like parking brake hardware possibly. wasnt sure if there were any springs or other pins id get half way through the job and realize i need to make a parts run for.

current pads seem like theres still some life in them yet. have a occasional squeal when braking and i suspect the knuckles are part of the culprit.

had rebuilt the brake system shortly after this post, all is good now. additionally my clacking rattle noise is now gone on washboard bumps, evidently after examination of all old parts, the rear disc pads have a tension spring? integrated in them which had broken off allowing for movement and noise without it.
