Hello, I just installed my new JVC head unit. I tested it and it worked, so I then installed my new sound ordnance 4 channel amp. Now when I start it I get a message saying “miswiring”. I have the amp connected to the head unit with a 4-way rca cable. I thought it was a ground but I put it on the same ground as my subwoofer, which works.
For the speaker outputs I have it spliced into the existing wiring harness. I was wondering if this was my problem, do I need to cut the original wires from the harness and atattch the ones from the amp instead? That wiring would already be receiving the output signal from the head unit, so adding in the output from the amp further down might not work I would think.
